Description
I'm reluctantly selling my John Deere X360 Garden Tractor. She's got 250.5hrs of total runtime & has been meticulously, perfectly maintained at all/every service interval, stored inside barn or shed & generally been treated w/ the love & respect a man has for his tools: Take care of your tools & they'll do the same for you. Those important points made, I wish to be 100% fully up-front & honest about a couple of things that may or may not be a 'deal-breaker' for some people. I believe most people are capable of understanding potential issues & determining whether its something they're comfortable handling themselves, or perhaps they don't want to even mess w/ it. My goal is to be up front on two potential issues: 1.) A. There exists minor wear & tear. The "JOHN DEERE" sticker strip that *should* be on the 'hood' is missing on the lefthand side (if sitting at steering wheel). It cracked & became shabby very early on & I simply removed it eventually. The opposite side's "JD" sticker strip is intact B. There are minor surface rust areas on various areas. There are NO pitting marks or anything even approaching significant rusting/corrosion, just minor surface rust on mower deck blades, various parts surfaces. I've always been overly "OCD" (as my amazing wife calls me lovingly) about using a steel (or brass when appropriate) brush & drill or sandpaper to fully remove surface rust, then either spot paint over bare metal w/ Rustoleum or if unable to paint, generous application of either grease or protecting lubricant of appropriate viscosity to maintain 'grip' w/ the surface. C. The yellow seat has a crack in it that shows the foam underneath. It's nothing major, but I wanted to be up front RE: it. I actually do have a pretty John Deere branded 'official' really nice seat cover that has a zippered pouch & I think a cupholder (not 100% sure on that, but the tractor itself definitely has one regardless) I am totally willing to give the buyer. It'd cover the seat tear & look pretty cool, too. As to the seat cracking...I swear, no matter what I do, these seats eventually crack anyway, despite how politely I've asked, repeatedly. 2.) I am (stupidly, frustratingly, embarrassingly) missing the 'U-bolt' piece that holds the front of the mower deck up. It's called the "Front Draft Arm & Trunnions" & consists of a 'U' shaped 'bolt' & couple pieces of hardware which can be found here: https://offerup.com/redirect/?o=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuYW1hem9uLmNvbS9DYWx0cmljLUZyb250LURyYWZ0LVRydW5uaW9uLUNvbXBhdGlibGUvZHAvQjBDTTNCVDQ3Mg== The official John Deere draft arm, et al, is around $80 according to the extremely knowledgeable & courteous gentleman I spoke w/ at Pape Equipment in Gresham (ph# (contact info removed) & address of 1510 E Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030) I am 90% sure actually has in stock because I ordered it & got busy & forgot it last month. When we moved it from Corbett to Portland (along w/ an entire estate of my late Mother), I simply misplaced it. I'm 100% sure it'll turn up, but I simply cannot find it & the machine needs to be sold, so here I am. Forewarned is forearmed, Mom always told me, & it's never failed me & I wish to be clear about this potential problem for some potential buyers. I'm genuinely sorry if it's a deal breaker for you, I wish I could locate the damn thing. And that's it. Wear & tear, missing front mower deck u bolt draft arm thing. A $50-80 part I simply can't afford currently but I wanted to be honest & up front about. Please call or text msg me at (contact info removed) anytime; late is okay as I'm always up til 0100-0200. Thank you for looking.
