Description
46.0" W x 75.25" H x 18.0" D A stunning late-19th to early-20th Century English wardrobe constructed of exquisite quarter sawn oak. In excellent condition. We believe this handsome wardrobe was made by Bath Cabinet Makers, in business in England from 1895 until the mid-20th Century, they were known for their handcrafted furniture and fittings for the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth luxury liners. However, the original plaque Marked to the interior ‘BCM/HL Registered Design’ is no longer there to verify it’s maker’s authenticity. This wardrobe features a resting crown with intricate interlaced marquetry over the cabinet with a center front door, oval mirror and full-width base drawer. The interior of the wardrobe retains the two original hanging bars. The door has an ornate ring pull and lock escutcheon, the drawer has two similar ornate ring pulls. The wardrobe rises on short block legs. Please note, this is an item that may be especially difficult to move and/or transport. Unless shipping arrangements are available and made by the purchaser, that individual is advised to bring, appropriate assistance, vehicle, proper materials, and any necessary tools to pickup.
