500 Watt 2ch Memphis Amp

Pics have power ratings. If your on a stock power supply you can power maybe (contact info removed) watts properly. from a 4cyl 300-600 watts a 6cyl 400-700 watts and your average V8 600-900 watts BASED ON THE ALTERNATORS AND BATTERIES THAT COME STOCK IN YOUR VEHICLE. So.... for example if you have a 2000 watt amplifier (or bigger) or multiple amplifiers you can only produce the wattage that your power supply can support so If your not happy with your bass you may need a smaller amp with lower wattage subs to get better bass not the other way around. Or turn you gain way down and be humble. It Takes power to make power. And if your trying to push amps to powerful for your power supply you’ll get crappy sound,heat and can end up damaging your alternator. If your “blowing” subs but on stock power supply your frying coils due to “clipping” aka lack of proper power supply to your amplifier(s) as you try to push wattage you can’t produce. Also using songs off of YouTube or rebased music will also destroy subwoofers due to signals that are not clean they may sound like there giving you more bass but it’s mostly distorted bass. I have over 10000 invested in my vehicles system I’m not into spl competitions or car shows I’m into audio as a passion and I’m always learning. Shops are out to make money not to help you.
