Hello , I have for sale a 74 Vw type 3 motor for sale. Came out of a very nice 74 square back has 65,000 original miles on it , car was an automatic so therefore not hard miles . My friend I got it from pulled it and the tranny out and is going with a type 4 motor and tranny. No heater boxes or exhaust , no distributor , he sold it to another buddy. No Excessive end play. Great motor to put dual carbs on it and a header . Have a look at the last pic of the oil baffle plate ….. it have the TOP and Vw logo on it . That’s a for sure sign of all originally at its best ! This Motor really needs to get into the hands. It’s a true type 3 at its best . This is truly one of those Genuine barn finds. Great for a Baja , dune buggy, trike , sandrail, fastback , square back … Also could be converted to a motor for a bug or bus ?
