These are not necessarily meant for dogs so could be used otherwise, but we used them for our dogs to have them up but not on the couch. My wife just lets the dogs up on the couch anyway, so these are just taking up space. They weren't used too much, but dogs are dogs, and our dogs like to dig in so they made a few scratch holes, see pic. I think on one, my wife put clear nail polish to close up the scratch hole. Anyhow, would love to not throw away anything that has a use..
