Vintage Czech Art Pottery Pitcher

Unmarked vintage earthenware glazed pitcher highly characteristic of 1920s–1930s Czechoslovakian bohemian art pottery (most notably matching lines produced by Ditmar Urbach or similar such as Bihl, Bern or Erphila). This hand-painted ceramic pitcher or coffee pot features a flared base and vibrant Bohemian/ Art Deco styling typical of central European mid-century or interwar pottery. The "Alienware" Style This is the specific category this pitcher belongs to. Produced heavily by Ditmar Urbach, it is characterized by: The Look: Stylized, surreal flowers outlined heavily in black ink. The Palette: Rich orange-red petals, deep forest green leaves, and dark cobalt blue swirls or scrollwork. Backgrounds: Usually painted on an off-white, cream, or bright sunshine-yellow base glaze. Overall glaze in excellent condition with vibrant colors. No chips or cracks found. Piece exhibits ultra fine crazing throughout cream background. Interior could use a good cleaning.
