1964 Chevy Chevelle 2 Door Wagon

Rare Car! 1964 Chevelle 300 Series 2 Door Gasser Wagon This rare hot rod will be sure to get you lots of attention everywhere you go. With a built 454 this wagon is fast and sounds nasty. This black plate California car had been in storage for many years when I bought it decades ago. I wanted something different and not like all the other hot rods so what you see is the result of a lot of work and money but it's time to find a new home as I am downsizing. This wagon received a complete body-off the frame restoration/modernization. This all metal body was media blasted to bare metal and then received a very expensive professional base coat/clear coat PPG paint job. One of my goals in building the cars was to have a hot rod that looked period correct for the 60's but was upgraded with safety items like disc brakes, roll cage, safety harness. etc. The original frame was in great shape and it was also media blasted and powder coated. The chassis was upgraded with a new Speedway motors front straight axle kit with manual disc brakes. The straight axle also has a steering dampener. The engine is a high performance 454 cubic inch engine built by RC Performance. Deep sump oil pan. It has fender-well headers with a new aluminized exhaust system. There is a dual quad tunnel ram on the 454 with two recently rebuilt Holley Carbs. MSD ignition system, old school Mickey Thompson aluminum valve covers, A complete custom fuel system with a rear mounted electric pump. The radiator is a new one with an electric fan. Purchase includes a new set of carb rebuild kits and a matching yellow helmet. The transmission is a high performance manual valve body Turbo 400 built by Tim Deal transmission to handle the horsepower and torque from the 454. The differential is a 12 bolt Chevelle rear end with 4:88 gears and posi traction that was completely rebuilt and upgraded by J&S Gear and rear drum brakes. As you can see it also has ladder bars. The interior is a stock black 1964 Chevelle bench seat interior with a B&M shifter. The back seat was deleted and there is a storage compartment built where the back seat was. Also has a tilt, Ididit steering column, dash mounted tack and below dash gauges, stereo and kick panel speakers. The interior was completely redone at the time of the build. All new trim items as you can see. The glass was tinted yellow for a true 60's look. The rear tailgate window is power. The speedo does not work. I spun the needle off the speedo with the 4:88 years. It has no emergency brake. The wheels are made by Rocket with Mickey Thomson Cheater slicks on the rear but they are DOT legal. All new chrome and weatherstrips, etc. As you can imagine, I spent lots of money building my dream car but it's time to let someone else enjoy it.
