Description

Hidden Treasures on the Brick Road 10003 270th St NW, Stanwood, WA 98292 Open: Fridays 1pm - 4pm & Saturdays 1pm - 6pm Material: Ceramic Length (inches): 5.00 Width (inches): 3.00 Height (inches): 4.50 This antique copper lustreware creamer is a fine example of early 19th-century English pottery craftsmanship. Standing 4.5 inches tall and measuring 5 inches from handle to spout, it features a bulbous body with a pedestal base and a wide, shaped spout. The gleaming copper glaze is accented with an embossed geometric band around the upper portion, adding depth and decorative texture. The handle has a classic Victorian scroll form, lending elegance to the piece. Lustreware of this type was popular in England throughout the early to mid-1800s, often produced in Staffordshire potteries. Pieces like this were highly prized for their metallic sheen, achieved through the application of metallic oxides in the glaze. This creamer shows the expected age-related wear, with some surface scratches and minor glaze losses, but retains an attractive patina that speaks to its history. Material: Glazed pottery with copper lustre finish Dimensions: 4.5" tall x 5" handle to spout Style: Victorian / Early English Pottery Age: Early to mid-19th century (c. 1820–1850) Condition: Good antique condition with typical surface wear from age and use; no major cracks or repairs observed
