Each top drawer of every piece is lined with black velvet. Complete set purchased from Ashley’s Furniture for about $1700. Very sturdy and roomy. There definitely are some flaws since I have two little ones in the house. Normal wear - nightstand the most flawed. Daughter spilled nail polish remover on it a while back and has some rings from glasses of water. Dresser middle drawer molding has a crack in it $350 for everything Would need to come in house for pick up. Pet and smoke free home. Need to downsize - if not I would totally keep.
