Audi mechanic"s wet dream. Car is currently undriveable. Oil pan gasket failure recently so car can be started but will throw oil. The car occasionally runs in LIMP mode. Issue is intermittent. I have had it looked at by several mechanics but they couldn't solve the issue some recent research causes me to think it might be a short in the oil or coolant temp sensor. It cause the car to throw a short a the shift solenoid. Therefore putting the car into LIMP. I have been driving the car from Hampton to Ft Eustis for the last several years with the issue. I am only getting rid of it because of the oil pan gasket issue. I didn't want to put any more money into it. The axle is also very noisy and it was recommended that it be replaced. Both CATS are bad as well. I will give you the VAG-COM cord and the link to the program that I bought for it. Let me know if you have any questions.
