This is a rather uncommon find! It is a mid-century Broyhill Sculptra credenza with the seldom seen combination Drop Down Bar / China Cabinet top. (it can also be used as a drop down desk) The top unit is very flexible. It features two sliding glass doors on the left which open to a storage compartment with adjustable shelf. The right side has a drop down bar with more storage and another adjustable shelf. The outside surface of the drop down bar is woven material and the inside is durable white Formica. The bottom unit features 3 generous drawers on the right with the signature Sculptra “cat eye” drawer pulls, which pair perfectly with the walnut cabinet. The top drawer has a removable silverware tray. On the left side there are two sculpted doors which open to a large storage area with an adjustable shelf. The top unit is slightly angled toward the top, giving it a very mcm atomic appearance. There is a generous molded gallery rail at the very top for additional display space. The fabulous midcentury modern look is completed with tapered legs and a gracefully arching base! It is in excellent condition. There is some minor wear to the area around the knob used to pull the bar down, and a few insignificant marks here or there, but nothing glaring. Overall this piece presents beautifully! This would make an excellent liquor cabinet, buffet, sideboard, display case, or bookcase. The top and bottom are two separate pieces, which makes them much easier to transport.
