I had the privilege of spending some time in her garage workshop. She made a watercolor painting, tore them into various pieces and put them back into a sculpture to resemble a bird in flight. The majority of Angie’s work is based on birds. She is known for her Disney, cartoon of Golf playing penguins. Hangs on wall. Angie signed the bottom right corner as she does all of her pieces. This was done in her younger years. She was experimenting with various sculptural techniques. I don’t have the exact date but I assume in the 1980’s. I am a sculptress and etcher. I am most noted for my limited edition bronze sculpture. In etchings, I use the soft ground technique with aquatint. I present my etchings in a very serious mood, particularly my nudes. But I have a lighter side, too, having the viewer walk away with a chuckle in their hearts, my little guys (Penguins). My training and education began at the Pasadena Museum of Art (now the Norton Simon Museum). As I became more professional, my instruction continued at the University of Northridge and the Art League of Los Angeles.
