We all know it is almost impossible to buy a used outboard in really great condition, this is the exception. This motor was purchased new and installed on this bass boat. The owner lived out west and only came to Florida for six weeks during the winter, and he used this boat and motor on Fresh water lakes in and around south central Florida. The rest of the year this boat was kept in storage. This can be verified by a local marina., and he did this for 18 years . This motor can be demonstrated at any time . Why you ask is the reason for selling. I recently retired , and I bought the boat because I love older Ranger boats but I would like to buy a new motor , and to be honest, I can afford to pay the price for a new unit. Now for someone who needs a 225 , but doesn’t want to pay out a lot cash, this is a deal you can’t pass up. I am asking $5500.00 for this motor, complete with controls , two stainless steel props and If you want , I can arrange to have it installed on your boat at the marina , you would work out costs with the owner of that marina .
