This Scotts mower is built by John Deere one of the best in the industry so you know you getting a quality unit that service parts are still easy to obtain for. The most basic rider mower new currently at Home Depot/Lowes sell for 2000 bucks. Get a nice used mower for half the cost and make your dollar go further! It has just had the engine serviced with new spark plug, air filter and fresh oil. It is powered by a 502cc OHV Briggs Intek American Made 17hp engine that has great power and is super easy to service. Briggs is the industry standard for these single cylinder tractor engines. These are my all time favorite single cylinder engines! They are tough, reliable and easy to work on. Has a standard 5 speed transmission with neutral and reserve! These are rock solid on their reliability. Easy to use, just select a gear, release the brake and your off and moving. Standard 42 inch cutting width to make fast work of your lawn while still fitting through standard 48 inch wide gates and in truck beds. Has brand new blades on it. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you are buying. Please don't ask if there are any additional attachments that come with it. Was just tuned up... -New Oil -New Spark Plug -New Air Filter -New Blades -Charged Battery There is no hour meter on this machine! Please do not ask unless you want me to make up a number! Most models don't have those, I would never by a machine based on that alone anyway! Pictures and condition (real tangible things vs a who knows how accurate number) are much more important! Just my advice after 10 years :) I don't care if it has 10 hours or 2000, experienced buyers should know (I hope) that hour gauges are no match for a visual inspection of the unit. It kills me when people buy mowers or cars for that matter based on this alone... I will take a well cared for 100k car over a unkempt 25k car any day of the week. After 10 years of selling used power equipment this is the number one best advice I can give. Very nice mower! Will not last.
