If you go check out the book “HOFNER, the complete Violin Bass Story” by Steve Russell & Nick Wass, you’ll find this bass in there pages 165 and 167, I have never played this bass on a job once I purchased it, it remained in the hard shell case in my closet office in my home. It is in excellent shape and would be an asset to anyone’s collection. The only real issue is on the side of the neck there is a piece of material about 1/2” Lg and about 1/8” wide missing, you can see it in a couple of pictures, for a bass guitar that is over 50 years old this baby is in GREAT condition. I figured it was time to sell it and give it a new home. Comes with a strap and hard shell case. For many years I was under the impression this was a 1975 model, but according to the book it is a 1967 model and other than that I have no real way of knowing EXACTLY what the actual year of build is.
