Mini crab doorway dolly

For sale is fully operational Doorway Mini-Crab Dolly Number 157 from ColorTran. This dolly is designed to carry a camera operator and up to 4 assistants. Operator could be raised with the camera to the height of 56". Lift is powered by a gas tank (CO2), works silently and requires no electricity (excellent for remote location or for mobility). It has 3 modes with front wheels turned, back wheels or full crab mode. This particular dolly not only an absolutely amazing film-making tool, but has a history to it. It has been produced for and was owned by Academy Award-winning producer, David L. Wolper and believed to be used on the production of 'Roots', 'North and South' and the original 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' movies. It has Mr. Wolper's name stamped on it at the factory. Another nice feature - lift can be removed very easily and whole dolly could be placed in the van by two people without a need for any equipment or a ramp. Dolly has all its wheels intact and moves very smoothly.  Dolly comes complete with the following: 1) User manual (cover is original, pages might be copies) 2) Two CO2 bottles specifically designed to operate on this dolly. Each bottle uses about $15 worth of CO2 and is enough to lift the operator and his camera up to 50 times (depending on the weight). 3) Operator's lift seat assembly with foot support. Foot support could be adjusted in several ways. 4) Lead weights (for the situation when camera operator is sitting on the dolly and camera is too light to bring lift down with its own weight) 5) Lift assembly with head mount 6) Three complete seat assemblies. Each seat could be adjusted to your liking. The seat bar and seat itself is easily removed without any tools. 7) Steering and shift control assembly 8) Two stick lift levers (small located on the dolly and large one for the dolly operator) are used to bring lift up and down. It could be done by the camera operator sitting on the dolly or by the dolly operator. 9) Two on-seat camera holders (to be installed on the lift seat) 10) Two sideboards 11) One frontboard Dolly has signs of use all over.
