It has two probe channels—one for the meat and one for your pit temps—a dedicated receiver so you can track your temps remotely without gumming up your phone, plus rugged durability, an enormous display, and push-button simplicity. I have one already and it is by far the easiest and best constructed remote probe thermometer I've owned. I also use it when cooking with the oven as well to keep track of my cooks.
