OVERVIEW This captain’s bed offers the features that make our Belden collection a favorite: space-saving storage, classic molding details and top-quality construction, with brushed nickel hardware as a finishing touch. Plus, it’s GREENGUARD Gold Certified, which means it’s built to contribute to cleaner air for a healthy home. HOW IT IS CONSTRUCTED Crafted with a kiln-dried solid poplar, pine wood and MDF. Masterfully crafted with mortise-and-tenon construction and tongue-and-groove joinery for structural integrity. Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew. Drawers feature English dovetail joinery and waxed wooden glides, which ensure smooth motion. Sturdy half-moon safety stops keep drawers securely in place. Finished by hand in child-safe, water-based paint, which provides durability, depth of color and richness to each piece of furniture. GREENGUARD Gold Certified. Each bed is equipped with two storage drawers along one side, with appliqué molding on each drawer front. Mattress platform is made of 100% solid pine wood in slat-roll for extra strength; designed for use with or without a box spring. Mattress and box spring are sold separately. Features zinc drawer pulls. Trundle provides a comfortable extra bed for overnight guests when used with our Trundle Mattress (sold separately). Trundle also offers generous storage space for toys, clothes, bedding and more when used without a mattress. Trundle is fitted with rolling casters that make it easy for kids to open up and put away by themselves.
