Up for sale as parts OR repair :)!! 1998 Subaru Forester !! Let's jump right into it by saying this car is intended for parts sale as the TRANSMISSION PUMP SEAL is shot, it is leaking transmission fluid onto exaught and then burns it into smoke as it drives. Currently the transmission fluid has been filled by a garage and the car will drive fine for awhile before the fluid all leaks out and then transmission obviously fails... It Is able to be driven about 50 miles before any issue at all, so can be driven home as it is currently inspected till end of May!! :) Current milage: 230xxx miles. when purchased: 220xxx miles. Repairs needed to fix: - Has engine knock - Will need tires for inspection - Rear shoes need replaced, but stops fines as fronts have been replaced - Steering will slightly pull in direction of last turn, but will drive straight most of the time. I believe it would need a cheap suspension piece to be fixed, but i'm no mechanic! LoL THE GOOD: - INSPECTED TILL MAY!! - 2 INCH LIFT KIT (came on car) - ROOF RACK! With key!! - Heat & AC work fine :) - All lights and signals work - Interior is in good condition, no tears, rips, or deep stains. -Frame is actually in great condition, barley any rust underneath for its age!! -Outside is painted in truck bed paint, so that won't ever fricken rust lol, I bought it like that. -AWD has no issues. I do really like this car, but unfortunately the transmission pump leak is my stopping point for this car. As I have a few other cars, and also another forester close to the same year lol.
