Description

Good morning! Helping a friend sell his project car that he doesn't have time for. We are looking at a 1970 production 10/1970 Datsun 240z Series 1 in Safari Gold color with black interior. The car comes with a clean California title in hand to the owners name. The car has its original factory engine inside which matches the data plate stamped inside the engine bay. The car starts and drives but will need a tune up. The transmission is the factory original 4 speed, it shifts smoothly without any grinds or noises, all gears work including the reverse. The car is currently registered in California and has active plates till November of 2021. There are no back fees or extras fees regarding the DMV. More notes passed down from my friend regarding the car, he had plans of restoring the car to like new but life took over I guess. Vehicle is mostly all original parts, including the series 1 vertical rear hatch with the double vents, original series 1 metal fan, original series 1 fiberglass headlight buckets, the original Bendex brake booster, original series 1 fuel door cap with metal knob, retains all of its original glass including the windshield. The interior for the most part looks all intact. It has it's factory original seat belts with tags dating back to 1970. He noted that all the interior lights work, the headlights and turn signals. It has a period correct aftermarket radio installed and does have the functioning power antenna that still works, along with the inspection light in the engine bay. The car retains its original chrome numbers with over riders. All the original emblems are still on the vehicle. My friend has even included the original sales agreement for when the car was sold new. Comes with what he believes to be the original set of keys for the car. Now to what the car needs, he mentions that the car does have rust. Its present in the floor boards, behind the doors, the rear wheel arches, they look like they have been repaired before but was not d1 well. My friend was planning on purchasing the floor boards, and the wheel arches, and sending it to shop for metal work and restoration, but never got around to it. Overall its a great candidate for a restoration project that when finished will produce a true Series 1 example with the matching numbers factory motor. My friend is asking $17.5k for the car. If you are interested you can contact me at {contact info removed} thanks. If you would like to see a video of the car running and walk around, please text me and I will send it over. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day.
