This one is from February number 8362. Style number 227807 Dorothy and company.. Off to see the Wizard. DETAILS It has tiny felt feet to prevent scratching on surfaces. The detail is quite a work of art. Hand-painted with lots of detail, right down to their shimmering eyes each with a tiny speck of white. There's lots of textures including the corduroy noses, the fabric on Dorothy's dress, the glitter on her shoes the fabric on the scarecrow and his lifelike straw and stitched patch on his knee. And for wonderful final touches, there is a Boyd's bear heart with a paw print on the tin man's chest painted in gold with gold rivets and rust throughout. Gold buttons on the scarecrow and on the lettering on the banner in front. There's the appearance of fabric on the feet, just like on the plush bears. You can even see the stitching on hems on the scarecrow's clothes and hat brim and Dorothy's clothes. And it wouldn't be complete without the yellow brick road upon which they skip as they sing and dance while on their way to see The Wizard of Oz. CONDITION In excellent, clean condition. Nothing wrong with it. MEASUREMENTS 5.5" wide, 4.75" high, about 2.5" deep. 10 oz. A unique piece for your Boyd's Bears collection based on the timeless classic tale. Smoke free.
