Description
This Subie wagon was my daily driver and camping rig until it got an oil leak that I decided was too much of a hassle to fix (and I have too many cars as is). That being said, it is priced accordingly to account for mechanic fees or for your own time if you DIY. Otherwise, engine runs strong and the AUTOMATIC transmission shifts smoothly. Interior is in great shape, minus a few broken trim pieces that can be pulled from a wrecking yard or bought cheap online. It runs and drives! Go ahead and test drive it, take it home, go to work. Just keep the oil topped off until you fix it. What it NEEDS: -valve cover gaskets are the main culprit and need to be replaced (it will come with the gasket set that I already bought) -possible other oil seepage but not certain -needs to be emissioned before registering (but I might do that myself later in the week) Not so important fixes: -a couple of broken trim pieces inside -airflow control buttons should be replaced (like for putting on your face or your feet or defrost; they don't typically work) -window cleaner doesn't spray -one fog light doesn't turn on, probably the bulb -the radio head unit acts up a little bit, volume knob doesn't always respond but it does come with a remote that works fine. And it's been losing its memory lately. -might need a starter in the future; sometimes it takes a minute before turning over after sitting overnight -was rear ended with previous owner (I'm 2nd owner), damage is not super noticeable, but the back latch is dented slightly. It doesn't want to latch completely, but it does close and lock and doesn't rattle when driving -visors are ripped The GOOD: -brand new alternator -brand new power steering pump -brand new spark plugs and wires -ceramic window tint done last summer -speakers are good quality -interior is clean -tires still have lots of life -back seat folds down flat -cross bars and luggage supports on the roof -paint is good despite normal chips and some scratches on the bumpers -straight body maybe with a couple dings -AC is cold, and heater works too Overall, it's a great vehicle for the price (even if you take it to a shop). Otherwise, a great deal if you DIY. $1200 OBO
