1900 Buster BROWN CAMERA BOX

This camera box was my granparents. I have had it for many years. I am starting to downsize and would hope this goes to a collector. Im asking 40 or make me an offer. Some interesting things i found out about this camera: This camera was released in a box with the Richard Felton Outcault’s cartoon strip “Buster Brown” displayed prominently on all sides of the box. The Ansco Buster Brown No 2 is a box type camera that was produced by Ansco of Binghamton, New York from 1906 to 1923. The "Buster Brown" model was Ansco's answer to the then popular Kodak "Brownie" line of box cameras. As the Kodak "Brownie" was named after the popular Palmer Cox cartoon, the "Brownies". The camera itself is a very basic box camera design. The entire body of the camera is constructed out of wood, including most of the internal film holder/chamber. The camera features both portrait plus landscape viewfinders, imitation leather covering, nickel plated or black painted trims, leaf shutter with approximately 1/50 of a second shutter speed, and a fixed focus glass lens. On the top of the camera there is a pull tab that allows the user to select three different aperture sizes. On the opposite side of the cameras shutter release lever there is a small tab that allows for time exposures when pulled out. An interesting thing to note about this camera is the "D-ring" Film advance key. Which, when flipped-out allows the user to easily advance the film and neatly tucks-in when not in use. Also, the camera would have originally used No. 4A (120) roll film.
