Description
Introducing this roomy and well-thought-out 7 Person Minivan, 4 Person Camper Van, and 2 Person Cargo Van All-In-One Vehicle! ***Background: I bought this 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T minivan (essentially the same thing as a Chrysler Town & Country) less than two years ago for $13,000. That price does not include the additional purchases I made to improve this car, like buying a crystal-clear new windshield, upgrading the battery, and adding rugged/ weatherproof floor liners, nor does it include the cost of the Malibu 4 Universal Camper Conversion Kit which has an MSRP of $3750. All that said, I'm asking for only $10,000 for the vehicle and conversion kit altogether, which is practically a steal ;) ***Why we purchased and absolutely love this vehicle: We had family move in and needed a larger vehicle for when we would all travel somewhere together - we needed the ability to comfortably seat 5 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 dog, and this super roomy and well thought out 7-seater minivan was a perfect fit for that. We were also occasionally vending at farmers markets and art shows with a 10x10 booth and needed a larger vehicle than our hatchback to haul us and our cargo to and from shows. The stow and go seating of this vehicle which hides the rear 5 seats under the floor, creating a level cargo-van like surface in minutes, was a huge deciding factor and allowed us to bring not 1, but 2 full 10x10 art + craft market setups in addition to 2-3 people. ***Why we're selling this vehicle: As we started doing more shows farther away and our booth setups got larger and more complex, we needed a larger vehicle for transport. There was a point where we got oversized art panels that were both longer and wider than the entire cargo area of this vehicle, so after doing a few trips with rented U-Hauls, we bought a full-size cargo van to use for our shows instead. We also didn't travel as a full family as much as we expected (instead of having 6-7 seats filled, we'd usually travel with 2-4 filled at a time) at which point we'd typically use our smaller hatchback for better fuel efficiency. Finally, life events and super busy schedules have meant we've not taken the camping trips we'd planned, so we're not making good use of the camper conversion kit. Essentially, our priorities have repeatedly shifted, and we now use the hatchback or cargo van for day-to-day use rather than this minivan. Instead of having this Grand Caravan sit unused, I'd much rather find a new owner who'll love it as much as we did and use it as much as we wanted to! ***Some Info About this Minivan: -So. Much. Storage Space! This was my first minivan and I am in awe of all the cup holders and cubbies, and that's before I even get to the Stow and Go compartments (when the seats aren't in there, you can pack so many groceries/ boxes/ bags inside)! There's also overhead storage down the length of the vehicle for sunglasses/ headphones/ paperwork/ snacks/ etc! -Lots of convenience features! There are separate AC/ Heater controls for the rear passengers as well as the driver and front passenger (three climate zones!) The two sliding doors and rear hatch open and close automatically at the press of a button, and this vehicle has remote start, which has been a life saver! Unfortunately, we lost the key that had the remote start button a few months ago and haven't been able to find it. We currently have one key left that is a duplicate without the remote start button (Batteries Plus programs keys, as I had them make a duplicate when I first bought this car - their site shows the key costs $140 and programming $70, but I just brought in a ~$20 key from amazon and they charged me ~$85 for the programming instead). -All the windows are automatic (they roll down/ up all the way from one tap instead of having to hold the button down the whole time), there's a reprogrammable garage clicker built in to the sun visor with three(!) garage code slots, and there's an easy-to-reach child lock for the rear doors on the upper console for when the toddler gets a little too fascinated by the open/close door button ;) Speaking of toddler proofing, the leather seats are SO much easier to keep clean than cloth seats, especially with children and pets! -There's a literal AC outlet in the back for charging your laptops, phones, etc while on a road trip or just heading to school/ work! -This model did have navigation, but the maps got corrupted late last year. The Dodge dealership said it was a common issue with this navigation/ radio unit and that it was under a special warranty/ recall status in Dodge Journeys but for some reason not in Grand Caravans meaning we'd need to pay out of pocket. Since I use my phone for navigation anyway, we've just left it as is, and all other functions like AM/FM radio have not been impacted. ***Camper Conversion Kit Info: -Link to Manufacturer Site: https://offerup.co/faYXKzQFnY?$deeplink_path=/redirect/
