Florida Native Will grow largest in and prefers full sun! ☀️ (But will grow anywhere.) Either keep in pot until roots sprout from bottom then move to larger pot (while keeping soil moist— it’s okay to be dry for a few days but I keep mine moist to allow them to grow as much as possible), or plant in ground and water every day for 30 days, then 2-3 times per week for two more weeks.— After this, the plant will be established and you can water if you like or just leave it to the natural elements. The elderberry tree (Sambucus) is also commonly referred to as the elder. It is a flowering plant in the Adoxaceae family. It can be found growing in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Elderberry grows best in areas of high nitrogen levels. They do well in organic compost. It will, however, grow in nearly any type of soil conditions as long as it gets partial to full sun. It is a fast-growing plant that is commonly used for hedges. Elderberries are a food source for birds. Elder has been used medicinally for decades. In Chinese medicine, it has been crushed into wine and tea and used for rheumatism and traumatic injury.
