The 1 1/2 ton capacity is perfect for off-road use. It keeps the Jack light, (45 lbs) but offers enough capacity to do the job. The tires are large enough to roll easily in the sand. Normal jacks are a pain to drag across the sand. The Jack has extra axle holes so that the Jack can be lowered 2" from current height and has 3/8" thick side plates.
