Bought both for a NAS. Ended up going with something more powerful but was too late to send it back within the return window. So it's been sitting. Works fine though, just not powerful enough for my needs. The 3080 spent a few months in the NAS as a multipurpose card. Display for troubleshooting, VM stuff, etc. But have been getting into AI lately and it's just nowhere near powerful enough. But it hasn't been gamed on, mined on, or used for very much AI. It definitely has a lot of life left. As an aside, I have a whole separate system sitting in my closet doing nothing that fits pretty well for a 3080. 10700/64gb RAM/1300W MSI psu (has 4090 12vhpwr cable)/5000D case and some Corsair RGB fans. It just need to be put back together and I'm too lazy for that. Price for 3080 + 5700g is $700. Price for everything (gpu, cpu, and entire system) is $1800. Prices are flexible, just don't lowball.
