The base carries a faint stamp including “Made in England” (maker illegible), placing it in the English lustreware tradition of the early 20th century. Compact and beautifully rounded, it’s perfect for display with Staffordshire and other copper-lustre pieces. Maker / Brand: BCM Nelson Ware (marked), Made in England Materials: Earthenware with copper-lustre metallic glaze; cream-glazed interior Style/Period: Traditional English copper lustre; Georgian/Victorian revival look Theme: Heritage tableware, cottage/farmhouse display Age: ca. 1920–1940 (interwar Nelson Ware production) Size: Approx. 4.5 in wide (spout to handle) × 3 in tall Condition: Very good vintage condition, bright lustre with typical light rubs/handling marks, minor interior pinpricks and shelf wear to foot; no cracks noted.
