For sale is a 1996 Gibson Les Paul Studio from the Gem Series. This is an example of the Sapphire. This example is completely stock and in good condition. As a nearly 24 year old guitar, it does show some signs of age. The face of the headstock has the usual hairline scratches from string changes. The fretboard is in solid condition and frets don’t show too much wear, still very playable. Gold hardware shows some discoloration in the typical spots you would expect (where strings make contact, the bridge screws, top of tailpiece) The face of the body might show small scratches but nothing that’s noticeable from a couple of feet away. The back of the guitar does show some long checking lines that run parallel to the neck. These were likely caused by temperature changes. I wasn’t able to photograph the back very well so if you are truly interested and this is a dealbreaker let me know and I will find a way to send photos showing condition. Asking price for this instrument is $1,295. Willing to negotiate. Thank you.
