Description
Somewhere in France Nov. 24th, 1918 Dear Mother, Just a few lines to let you know how I am getting along. Came too this town last night about seven o clock. We walked here from the other place with our packs, and we sure were tired when we got here. I don’t think I will ever get back to my outfit. We are attached to this outfit as casuals. About two hundred came here with me all from the hospital. Feeling fine and hope you are as well. I got a sweater from the Red Cross yesterday at their place, and it comes in very handy. Well I guess this is all I have to say today so will close. How is father and the little ones getting along. With best wishes and regards to all. From your Son John Heinlein Censored John H Davis 1st Lt – 340th Div. Pickup in James island near folly beach. shipping is on. Comes in protector sleeve and backing board.
