Tips for Successful Ultrasonic Cleaning When the basket is used, it absorbs 30-40% of the ultrasonic energy reducing the effectiveness. If the item is not delicate or easily scratched, use the machine without the basket for maximum cleaning. Always fill between the min and max water line and use warm water with a small amount of dishwashing liquid or similar to enhance the cleaning power. Water levels that are too high or low will reduce effectiveness. For long term reliability, do not use hot water or run the machine for longer than 30 minutes without letting it cool down. Do not run the unit dry for over 30 seconds, it will damage the unit. *Please note: Some items such as silver and coins will require a tarnish removing cleaner after ultrasonic cleaning. For watches, please use the holder to keep the watch face above the water level.
