Description

Beautiful and emotive plaster cast sculpture titled “The End of the Trail” by Western artist Daniel Monfort, dated 1982 and signed D. Monfort on the base. This powerful piece depicts a Native American warrior slumped over his horse, symbolizing exhaustion and loss. The sculpture is a Monfort Original from Boulder, Colorado, known for its raw detail and expressive form. The sticker on the bottom says: “This is a MONFORT ORIGINAL Western Sculpture – Boulder, Colorado.” Title: The End of the Trail Signed: D. Monfort 1982 Condition: Some chips and signs of age (as shown in last photo) Measures Approx. 11.5” tall and 10.5” wide Material: The sculpture has some weight to it and I believe the material is plaster cast. Other: My uncle signed his name “Scott” to the underneath bottom. - sometimes you see it, other times you don’t, it just depends on the lighting.
