Description
Prizm LSI automatic; a Toyota corolla with chevy branding. This car has amazing pick up; very zippy! Goes to 30mph in a snap. Runs and drives great, starts right up, no battery or alternator issues. Engine is excellent, very low original miles; clean title, not rebuilt. No check engine lights or any other dash lights. I changed the brakes 2 weeks ago as well as the drivers side caliper, and I added better tires than what it came with. Rear drums were changed 6 months ago. I also installed a key fob for keyless entry (programming it makes you feel like you're back in the year 2000), and I changed the passenger side front and rear exterior and interior door handles. I've driven it every day from Brooklyn to Queens without an issue; it's great on gas and doesn't make any noises, aside from an old muffler which works but makes a slight noise. It changes gears (it's automatic) without any sort of slipping whatsoever. Radio works great, and it connects to Bluetooth via an FM transmitter (included) as soon as the car turns on. It actually connects faster than built in Bluetooth systems on newer cars. Call quality is clear to hear, but sometimes the other person doesn't hear me very well. Air conditioner blows very cold! All signals and lights work perfectly, all buttons do too. Power windows, doors and mirror all work fine. I replaced the window wiper blades on Sunday the 19th, and they unclogged the window washing sprayer. Very clean interior with no tears. Steering and handling are great, doesn't lock up when parallel parking. Brakes stop perfectly. No dents, only some paint peeling due to age. Small amount of rust on back driver's side bottom, not noticeable. Cons - It starts shaking at 60-65mph, but only on the driver's side, and I was told that it's because of tire balancing, which is like $20. I balanced the front tires and I've yet to balance the back, so that might solve that issue. However when on long highway trips, there is a tiny gear fluid leak; my mechanic called it "sweating", and he said it's not a big deal. One time it made a grinding noise after I drove it past 65mph on the garden state for over an hour, after going through the FDR and other highways prior. After resting, it did not do so on the way home and it has not happened at all since that one time, but I want to be upfront. It has taken other long distance trips without a problem. I drive it at 55mph on the belt parkway everyday without even a peep. There is a slight crack on the driver's side mirror, but it does not obstruct my view - it took me 2 days to get used to it, but now I barely notice it. The suspension is not great, but that comes with age and does not affect the safety or functionality of the car; I don't notice any difference at all when I drive it, and I'm pretty sensitive.
