OPEN TO OFFERS. An antique platinum sapphire and diamond ring circa 1930s. It is finger size 6 1/4 it weighs 3.00DWTS and is marked platinum. The top of the ring measures approximately 14.25 mm wide and set in the center of an old English cut diamond. The diamond measures approximately 7.35 - 7.46×3.71 mm and by formula it weighs approximately 1.20 carats. It has antique properties and symmetry with no fluorescence. Using the gemological Institute of America’s diamond grading scale the diamond is I in color and SI2 in clarity. Surrounding the diamond throughout the top of the ring are 28 pave set single cut diamonds measuring approximately 1.50 mm by formula the total weight is nominally .28 carats. There are 12 French baguette cut natural sapphire gemstones measuring 1.70×1.00 mm. The shank measures 1.47 mm wide it has mill grain edges in hand and grade finish.
