Description
Lead from sailboat keel. This is harder lead and likely has some antimony in it as opposed to the type of soft Lead needed for muzzloader casting, etc. Usable for most purposes (see picture #3 for an example of the scuba weights we make with it), however on larger, enclosed molds such as downrigger balls, the resulting item will end up somewhat lighter than if cast with pure lead (very rough guess about 1 or 2 lbs lighter on a 15# downrigger weight - which is why we never use this lead for the downrigger weights we sell.) Being harder lead, it has a big advantage over softer lead or lead/tin mixed when casting items that need alot of durability (jig heads, casting lures, anchors, scuba weights, shrimp / crab weights, etc. Also obviously it is excellent for use for things like boat ballast, derby car or circle track race car ballast too. MINI LOAF INGOTS: (10.2 to 11.5 lbs. each) $1.49/lb up to 10 ingots $1.40/lb over 10 ingots MUFFIN INGOTS (LARGE) (2.5 to 4 lbs. each) $1.70 /lb up to 10 ingots $1.60/lb over 10 ingots MUFFIN INGOTS (-SMALL-) (1.75 to 2.4 lbs. each) $1.80 /lb up to 10 ingots $1.70/lb over 10 ingots Have up to about 140 lbs left at present. Likely great for bird shot, sling shot pellets, etc but probably much too hard for muzzle loadr reloading but please do your research first. This is the cheapest price around (by a good margin) for good quality ingots in these sizes, of already-smelted, clean lead, so pretty firm on price. Given the recent price jump of propane, you may want to consider if it's actually worth your time to invest in the equipment, safety gear, etc needed to purify your own lead starting from dirty salvadge roof / plumbing / etc. lead - assuming you can actually find some. All the best and stay safe in all those fun projects and hobbies! NOTE: As with all out items, unless otherwise stated, ingots must be picked up and are located 1 minute off Hwy 99 (8-9 mins from I-5) in n. Lynnwood / s. Everett.) Thanks.
