Ready for use. It is important to scatter hamster food around the hamsters bedding so they can forage like they would in the wild. They need a sand bath because most come from sandy areas where they bathe in sand, it keeps them clean. NEVER use dust for a hamster bath, even if the pet shop employee says it’s ok. DUST is NOT ok for hamsters ever. It is good to change up their enclosure every couple weeks like moving their toys and hideouts to different parts of the cage. Hamsters are usually solitary creatures.
