Description

Ticket To Ride Demo board game New in Shrink wrap $80. Willing to ship This copy is still sealed. Last picture is taken from the web to show the contents. There are many rare items for Ticket to Ride fans to track down but this is probably the rarest. No printed rulebook is included but if you manage to get a copy you can very easily play the game, employing specific rules from either Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride: New York which was inspired by Demo (see below). Update Note: Some copies have reportedly included a rulebook but all do not. An interesting mystery. Ticket to Ride Demo was designed as a way for retailers to demonstrate the basics of Ticket to Ride to potential buyers with an abbreviated game. It includes a small double-sided board (with a map of the United States on one side and a map of Europe on the other) and two small decks of tickets to be used with either side as well as a deck of train cards and only 15 trains per player (2-4 players). The result is a 5-15 minute lightning-paced game of Ticket to Ride that was so popular with many who played it that they inquired about buying it from Days of Wonder. Days of Wonder had no intention of selling it (though copies are floating in the wild for true collectors and fans) but, inspired by the demand, released a similar game: Ticket to Ride: New York.
