2003 Ford Escape

The mileage says 230,000, but the transmission is replaced and is 160,000 miles on it. This car only has three problems that I am aware of. First the gear shift cable needs a new bushing, otherwise it’s too loose and gets stuck in gear unless you physically click it up with your hand. Secondly, the transmission hose itself or the pan was nicked and has leaked out (it would most likely have to be towed because of it. It runs fine last we started it otherwise). Third it needs a tie rod replaced. Two of those issues are hopefully quick cheaper fixes, but I’m not a mechanic. Outside of those issues, it’s in very good condition, and has the Mach 5 sound system with a subwoofer and tweeters in the door. We put new tires on it recently as well, along with having the transmission swapped out. It sat in a yard for 3 years before we got it. And once the transmission was replaced it ran well till the line was accidentally nicked. This is a sold as is. See less
