Description
$1200 Up for sale is an authentic 1622 Spanish 4 Reale silver cob recovered from the famous Nuestra Señora de Atocha shipwreck. This piece is professionally framed and includes the original Treasure Salvors, Inc. Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mel Fisher (dated September 15, 1986). Details from certificate: • Coin #: 85A-229909 • Denomination: 4 Reale • Reign: Philip III • Mint: Potosi • Weight: 9.6 grams • Origin #: 3771 • Certified 1986 The coin itself is mounted at the top of the display and shows the classic hand-struck cob design with cross and shield elements. These were struck in the early 1600s and lost when the Atocha sank in 1622 off the Florida Keys. The entire display is beautifully matted and framed — ready to hang in an office, study, or collection room. It’s both a genuine historical artifact and a great conversation piece.
