Description
Preservation: AU Year: 1983 Material: Aluminum Item weight (g): four Country: the USSR During the USSR, one of the types of incentives for conscientious work was the awarding of various signs and badges. Of course, it was no less pleasant for a Soviet citizen to receive a memorable gift (especially if the gift was related to a "deficit"), but the awarding with a distinction was no less pleasant, since most often the awarding procedure took place in a festive and solemn atmosphere in front of many people. The movement for the attitude to work communistly originated in the late 50s. The movement was led by the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions and the Central Committee of the Komsomol. If we talk in general terms about the goals of this movement, it turned out that a participant of the movement (i.e. any person) should be a model in all spheres - at work, in everyday life, in society, a certain standard of a real Soviet citizen. Perhaps today it looks somehow ridiculous, but in those days when money was not at the head of human values, it was communist labor that allowed us to restore our country's economy after the Great Patriotic War and create the industrial and social basis that we still use. With the assignment of the employee the title of "Dick of Communist Labor" a special sign and certificate were issued. The sign was a single established sample, although there were also professional signs in various industries. There is such a sign in my collection. The key place in the design of the sign is occupied by the portrait of V.I. Lenin on a red cloth. To the left of the portrait is a miniature that collected the main directions in the economy of the USSR - agriculture and heavy industry. Just below is the inscription “The Striker of Communist Labor” and a crossed red sickle with a hammer. The sign is attached with a pin. I think many of you have a sign that you either deserve or you somehow got it. The awarding of such marks was not one-time. One person could get up to a dozen such signs in his entire life. It was also envisaged to deprive the title of drummer of communist labor for obscene behavior and poor results of work, but I do not remember such cases. The badge was produced for several years in various factories. For this reason, several (about two dozen) varieties of this sign can be distinguished. There are almost no collectors collecting these signs by variety. The variant of the variety does not have much influence on the total value of the sign. Few people are interested in the sign “The Striker of Communist Labor” as an object of collection. Circulation of tens of millions reduced its collectible value to a minimum - only about 10 rubles. The value of this sign today is not great today and as a reward of the USSR - there are no benefits for possessing the sign “The Striker of Communist Labor”. Today, this sign is only a memory of labor during the times of the USSR.
