Description

Channel Islands Average Joe Carbon fiber rail wings Channel Islands leash & traction pad Captain Fin Dane Reynolds thruster set can be thrown in for extra $50, otherwise I’ll keep them. Same with Da Kine travel board bag . 5’11” (dims in photos) …read further below at the *** for more info on this board shape… Bought the board brand new and have maybe 25-ish sessions on it. I’m a meticulous owner of my things (see my garage and you’ll know). My boards are always fresh water cleaned, always stored in a bag, and stripped/waxed a few times a year. The board has typical pressure dings and a couple cosmetic spider cracks. One spider crack (shown in photo) has a ding patch just as a precautionary measure. Otherwise, the board is in good condition with no yellowing, no damage. Leash and traction pad newer and in good condition. ***If you don’t know about this board, you should. This is one of few boards ever designed and tested by and with non-pro’s (instead, by Channel Island employees). The board is not necessarily considered a groveler, rather a wide shortboard designed for your “average joe.” In comparison, most boards are designed in conjunction with and tested by pros, of which most of us don’t even come close to in ability. Wider board, easy planing through white water sections, but the tight/pulled in tail still offers decent pivots off the tail. Chris from Shred Show goes as far as saying that it’s impossible to fall off this board! Although this board is well-matched for those looking to move from a foam-top or longboard or even just start surfing on a shortboard, it is also a fun board for those of us who can surf, but are just average. Search “Average Joe Shred Show” to see Chris’ excellent review of the board.
