1996 Ford Explorer

Up for sale is my 1996 Ford Explorer V6 4.0 OHV, M5OD R1 transmission and BW1354 manual shift transfer case. It started life as a V6 automatic 2WD but I converted it to manual transmission and 4x4 with manual shift Its runs good, everything works cold AC, heater, power windows, power locks with keyless entry, power mirrors, power seats. I bought it back in July 2021 with 193K miles and has served me good since then. It has 216K miles as of now Motor in excellent condition despite the mileage, oil change always on time and I have always used full synthetic oil, it doesn’t burn a drop of oil! It passes smog check with no problems. I have replaced several parts within the last 15K miles Spark plugs at 200K miles, Lower ball joints and upper control arms Rear wheel bearings Changed diff fluids Front and rear brake pads and rotors New flywheel, clutch, slave cylinder, master cylinder, pedal assembly, rear u joints, new front driveshaft, new front cv axles, I rebuilt the transfer case (I installed all these news parts when I did the manual transmission swap) New inner and outer tie rods New shock front and rear I replaced the driver seat with a cloth seat from a 97 mountaineer, I have the rest of the seats if the new owner would like to take them and replace them all I used to take this truck camping with my family and never left me stranded. I drove it to Dallas, Texas and back in November 2022 without a single hiccup. You won’t find another second gen explorer with manual transmission and manual transfer case I know it’s not the cleanest but it’s in decent shape for its age, Reason I’m selling is because family is growing and we needed something with more seating capacity, got a bigger vehicle and don’t really have much use for this one anymore.
