Vintage 1930s Birdseye Maple / Birch Bedroom Set - Chifforobe & Dresser

eautiful, matching 2-piece vintage bedroom suite from the late 1930s / early 1940s. Built in the classic Colonial Revival style, these pieces feature gorgeous, highly figured Birdseye Maple / Yellow Birch face veneers with a warm amber tone. ​Structurally, these are incredibly solid. The internal framing and backing feature stamped vintage Weyerhaeuser structural plywood, a hallmark of mid-century American craftsmanship that prevents warping. ​Piece 1: Chifforobe / Drop-Front "Chiffodesk" Combo Dimensions: 34"W x 20"D x 48.5"H ​Features stunning, raised oval decorative molding on the front. ​The top left cabinet features a unique drop-front secretary desk panel that opens down to reveal a beautifully preserved, vintage floral-lined vertical paper/mail organizer slot system. ​2 deep, full-width drawers underneath for ample storage. ​Outfitted with classic vintage clear glass knobs. ​Piece 2: Lowboy Dresser with Mirror ​3 deep drawers topped with a large, beautiful tilt-mirror. Dimensions (without mirror): 42"W x 20"D x 34.25"H ​Mirror is mounted on elegant, turned support posts (the original tilt hardware is intact on the back) with a scrolled top crest. ​Outfitted with vintage white ceramic knobs. ​Condition: Good, honest vintage condition. Shows minor surface wear, scuffs, and light veneer edge wear consistent with its age (mostly on the back edges), but has a fantastic natural patina. All drawers slide smoothly and frames are structurally tight. Perfect as-is for a classic look, or an excellent candidate for a high-end refinishing project.
