14 vintage Bing & Grondahl Blue and White Christmas plates (years 1966 to 1979). **Would consider selling seperately or in smaller series.** These unique certified porcelain glazed blue and white plates are made annually in Copenhagen, Denmark and commemorate each year in a beautiful winter scene crafted in relief. The plates vary in size from 7" to 7 1/4" and weigh an average of approximately 11.5 ounces each (10 pounds total for the set). The blue Bing & Grondahl stamp and name of the scene on the back of each plate and two holes for hanging. My grandmother collected these and hung them in her home. Years 1966 to1975 have existing wire for hanging that can be easily removed. The perfect size for appetizers/salads, serving dessert at the holidays, for a special family gathering, or special enough for displaying, these plates are conversation pieces and a great way to bring history into your home. No discernable dings, cracks, crazing, nicks or other damage to any of the plates, but as with any vintage items they may show minor age related wear consistent with the date of manufacture.
