This is a stunning VERY RARE Castilian Imports hand carved & painted lidded turtle trinket box A "Castilian" storage box with naturalistic turtle design. Features a carved wood foundation with painted copper accents and floral motifs. Shell opens to reveal ornate scrolling patterns and humming bird center motifs. Label attached underneath: "Castilian 2340/5" CIRCA: 20th Cent. ORIGIN: Continental **CONDITION: Top shell is in Great condition ** Several chips of paint on rim and undershell as pictured. ***See description and all pics for details on overall item condition *A little DIY dab of paint here and there should fix up and dull up the chipped areas underneath DIMENSIONS # 20"x 10" x 7" inches weighs about 8.5 pounds This is a real eye catcher with great detail through out.
