Description
This is a one of a kind Fender Player II Telecaster with $600 in upgraded parts. This limited edition Forest Green model is no longer available to purchase through Fender (don't confuse the color with the British racing green model.) Price new cost $900 after taxes, then spent an additional $600 for upgraded parts which I listed a detailed description & cost down below. Original body and neck. Upgraded only the hardware + installed a Bigsby. this limited edition Player II mode is no longer listes for sale through Fender. The upgraded hardware was a good investment and completely transformed the tone and look. The tone easily outmatches a Pro II or Ultra Telecaster. Please do yourself a favor, demo a Player II tele from a guitar shop and record yourself or at the very least, watch demo videos on YouTube. The tone difference is the custom shop pickups & brass saddles. Some useful info: No issue with keeping it tuned.. The added locking tuners didn't make much of a difference in terms of helping stay in tune after using the bigsby trem regularly since I had no issue prior to adding them. As someone who utilizes a trem arm frequently, I really never had any issue keeping the strings tuned, I do brush a bit of super lube on the saddles.(Strings I am using are Daddario 10s.) Theres a myth that I hear a lot from Tele players about how a Bigsby on a Telecaster will "change" and lose the authentic Telecaster tone. In my expierence and having owned several teles through the years, this is false and its likely because a very common Bigsby bridge plate to use is the vibramate 6 saddle plate. I am using "cigar" or vintage bridge plate which required no modifications to be used with a Bigsby. Also, brass saddles are just way better than the stock 6 saddle chrome bridge plate that comes with any stock Player I / II Telecaster. I also recorded a demo video so you can hear the guitar in action to hear the 3 way pickup switch plus how the bigsby sounds. Just ask for the link!
