The plunger Spooky chose for this is forked, normally not an issue however, part of the assembly is left attached to nothing. The slack allows the forks shift during impact. They begin to misalign, widen, and cause the balls to stop launching into the play field properly. Slow motion videos show the forks hitting balls unevenly despite being cranked up to full power. The fork stabilizer covers both forks bringing them to the proper width and displacing impact onto the ball evenly. After a hundred games or more testing with this kit the balls launch perfectly every single time. I have not seen a single fail since the installation. I recommend dialing the plunger power down between 60-80% after installation. Yes there are other stabilizers sold individually for far more money. I don't see the need to use more expensive carbon fiber or have a massive fork cover when a more sleek design will suffice. Printed using ABS. *This listing is for 1 fork stabilizer.
