Child size and functional condition with wood and metal rims and leather seat. Currently mounted on the stand that’s not attached. Stands approximately 35 1/2 inches to the handlebars. The pennyfarthing also known as a high wheel high wheeler or ordinary was the first machine to be called a bicycle. It was popular in 1870s and 1880s with its large front wheel providing high speeds and comfort. It became obsolete from the late 1800s with the development of modern bicycles on.
