Ok, so how many times do you leave a car dealership an think, "That was fun!"? Well that was my experience with James Hendon, Used Car Manager, at AutoNation Ford in St. Pete.

I was wanting to sell my pristine Jeep Wrangler outright before heading to Texas. I visited 3 other major dealerships who all profess to pay 'top dollar' for your used cars. Well, as expected, they were all a joke and offered insulting money for the car. With James it was different from our first phone call. He was direct and down to earth right off the bat. I decided to make the longer drive to his dealership for an evaluation.

James inspected the car and didn't make up silly reasons why it wasn't worth much. His first offer was reasonable and not insulting, but still not enough. We worked through the process in a reasonable, friendly and respectful fashion and came to a number that we were both 'happy' with. All the while we chatted, had fun, and enjoyed being around a bunch of true car guys.

If you want a fair value for your car with no BS, I would 100% recommend you contact James. Oh, and Nico, his partner in crime, was a pretty cool dude as well.

For service - I 100% would go back! Micky was my service advisor and was absolutely amazing and kept me up on everything! Micky is truly a gem and you are lucky to have someone at your dealership who is honed in on the needs of the customer! I have never had someone so sincere and calming work with me at any dealership! Micky deserves a big kudos for what she does for people! I was literally stranded an hour and a half from home when my Bronco broke down and if it weren't for Micky  working so hard to get my truck back up and running, I would be having a much deeper (and probably not very kind) conversation with Ford. At 3117 miles a car shouldn't break down. Micky was exactly to right balance of professionalism and wit that kept me from losing it. Please be sure to commend Micky on a job excellently done! I loved the way I was help. I really appreciate how Vinny showed a lot of interest in helping my family and me get the best of care. By having an appointment the service was very detailed and didn't even take long. I check my vehicles every time I do service at any service station and when I checked my vehicle I noticed everything was done to the point. All my fluids on my f150 where topped off. My engine oil is brand new and it's full as well as my windshield wiper fluid. Really great job and thank you so much Vinny as well as the rest of the staff, will ne recommend you guys to all my families and friends.

Got connected with this dealership through Car Gurus. My point of contact was Karl Mitchell and I he made my experience simply fantastic. It’s the little things for me that matter. He communicated extremely quickly and clearly. He kept me updated all throughout the week as we agreed on a deal. I was traveling from out of town to see and pickup the car and he made that process a breeze. He is a genuinely kind and thoughtful person and my purchase simply would have not happened without with out him.

I drove over 3 hours to pickup the car. Everything was going smoothly. I had a 15k check from Navy Fed as part of the financing deal for the new Wagoneer. Our mistake (which we asked Navy Fed about and they said it was fine) was that the check was in my wife’s name and she wasn’t with me. One of the managers (Juliano) came in with a completely unnecessary attitude. Basically saying they weren’t going to take my check and I couldn’t take the car. Instead of being nice, a problem solver, or just kindly explaining the situation, he was a total prick. It was an honest mistake on our end/Navy Federal. We don’t buy cars everyday and didn’t think it was going to be a problem. He should have let Karl do his job instead of butting in and acting completely unprofessional. If I could give him a one star review separately, I would. I was honestly on the verge of walking out just because of his attitude.

Luckily I could just write a check for the full amount and Karl (once again saving the day and problem solving) came up with an idea to make everything work. From start to finish, Karl was a pleasure to work with. Without him, I probably would have just drove home without my new vehicle simply because of Juliano’s ridiculous attitude. If you are looking for a vehicle at this location, you are in good hands with Karl. 10/10. I did have good encounters with literally everyone else other than one person. Thank you Karl!

I bought a 2025 Bronco from AutoNation St. Petersburg and worked with David and Jack. Even though I’m in Miami and didn’t see the car until it was shipped, everything was exactly like the pictures David sent. Both David and Jack answered my calls and texts anytime of the day, which made me feel really comfortable throughout the process. When a small piece was missing after delivery, David immediately reassured me he’d send it. Jack was also great at explaining the warranty and finances in a kind and patient way. The whole experience was straightforward, easy, and honest. Highly recommend!
