Elegant Antique Chinese Officials chair, handmade in China Early 19th century. The multi-paneled back rest and lower open form apron incorporates stylized dragons and flowers in a cultured form with artistic lines making it one of the favorite pieces of Chinese furniture. Believed to have come from the Shangdong Province on the coastal region of east China. The lacquered wood is a very warm red-brown.
